Why do mailboxes you get from those big hardware stores rust so quickly?
Because they are manufactured cheaply out of steel, which oxidises (rusts) once it is outside in the moist air. Some are just painted steel which have very little protection from the elements. We recommend using Zincalume and powder coating as this method has proven to be durable against the elements (rustproof), otherwise choose one of our stainless steel, marine grade plywood, or plastic mailboxes.

On my screen the terracotta looks like a muted pumpkin colour, is that red or orange?
Different computers display some of the colours differently. Please use the descriptions as a reference. Most colours on a metal mailbox are standard BHP colours. In some cases colour samples are available. You can also adjust the colour settings for your monitor to a better quality, this might help.
Why will it not let me through to the checkout?
